"I've liked this band from the off. They play with undisguised zest, think hard about their compositions and have produced an album that balances conviction with genuine creativity."

"Clark's quintet's first recording and the debut release on his own Tentoten Records. Featuring a young and fiery group about to hit the UK jazz scene.
This is a wholly satisfying and well focused set from a quintet that have worked hard at their music, and the results are clear for all to hear."

"This is the second release by the Clark Tracey Quintet, the group that helped launch the careers of these young musicains in the Eighties, now firmly established as luminaries on the UK jazz scene. The band toured the Far East twice and played European festivals, appeared on TV and radio and regularly worked up and down the British Isles.
This recording, originally released on Steam Records, was the result of a commission undertaken by Clark Tracey and Steve Melling to acknowledge an unusual land feature in Shropshire, premiered at a festival at the foot of the Stiperstones."
